Insect Control
Insect Control: Natural microbes can help you reduce the insect population of your yard, but will not affect adult insects. The microbes contained in AQ-3 will reduce the nitrate levels in the soil, killing the nematodes that feed off of the nitrates. Nematodes are a major food source for insect larvae, so when the nematodes die off, the insect larvae starve. The insect population is reduced, but not eliminated.
For natural insect control, if you have an area that is covered with decomposing grass clippings, plants and leaves, it must be raked as thoroughly as possible before treatment. Since, decomposing matter produces nitrates which feed the nematodes which feed the insect larvae, you need to remove as much decomposing plant life as possible. Otherwise, you will have to use more microbes and the process will take considerably longer.
In the fall of the year, apply AQ-3 as a soil spray at the application rate of 1 pound per acre. In the spring, apply GPN-2 soil spray to populate the soil with the beneficial microbes needed for a beautiful lawn. GPN-2 is a soil spray that contains a balance of microbes and minerals which is vital a lush, insect and disease free lawn. The application rate for the GPN-2 Soil Spray is also 1 pound per acre. Thus you have natural organic insect control.
