Symptoms: Darkening of the fins, often blood streaked. Erosion of the fins.

Symptoms: Whitish cottony growth on fish body.
Causes: Undaunted fungi in the water.
Eye Conditions
Pop Eye
Symptoms: Enlarged eyes which appear as if they are about to pop out of the fish’s head
Causes: Bacteria and excessive dissolved oxygen in the water.
Cloudy Eye
Symptoms: Eyes become cloudy looking to white. Possible loss of vision.
Causes: Poor water quality., severe stress, old age and malnutrition

Prevention and Treatment:
Improve the water quality immediately.
Aquarium: use little or no chlorine. Change the water frequently.
Ornamental ponds: Drain water if possible. Reduce or eliminate chlorine
All water bodies, including aquariums and ornamental ponds: Use beneficial bacteria to keep the water free of solid waste build up and harmful bacteria, fungi and parasites.
